So does my 4 lbs Mongojet wing, which easily breaks a normal
combat wing in two due to its superior speed and inertia :-)!

Best suggestions as yet are split elevons, or brake chute -
the former by using two elevons per side in crow position.

Ever see the drag brakes on a Buccaneer? If you hinge them on the leading 
edge, you could have barn-door-like flaps open top and bottom. Upon ground 
contact, the bottom one could just fold up. (spring instead of a wire arm tot 
he servo) .

What about reverse thrust of a moderate amount out of the fan?
