plaque is usually yellow (unless you're British)

Dental plaque is a yellowish biofilm that builds up on the teeth formed by 
bacteria embedded in a matrix of polymers


It also builds up in your arteries... from cholesterol

In dermatology, a plaque is a patch of a small area of skin that appears 
different than the surrounding skin and is usually raised.
