Scale Aerobatics fun fly. Want to see those beautiful scale and PSS models perform? Come out and have some fun at our "Introduction to Scale Aerobatics" event March 20th in the Tri-Cities Washington. This area has some of the best slope soaring locations in the world including Eagle Butte. The format is beginner friendly but we also encourage more experienced scale aerobatic flyers to participate as we want to learn more by experiencing the performance potential of scale sailplanes. We want to avoid the complications and challenges pointed out in John Desterine's post. Rather than arguing about which maneuvers to perform and how perfectly they need to be set up, we have focused on simple maneuvers and elemental scoring plus some options to attempt more difficult maneuvers.
It's not a contest! It's an opportunity to gain some experience and hopefully encourage participation in this type of flying. Want to have some fun and fly and watch these beautiful birds perform come on out! See the Columbia Soarers web site for details. Also see HKM-USA ASW 27 video for inspiration. Come out, bring your scale model and positive attitude and have some fun. We will also be doing some aero- tow aerobatics later this summer in North Idaho so contact me if you have an interest in that. http://mcs.rchomepage.com/ http://www.hkm-usa.com/products.htm Guy Russo RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News.
