Shadow 1 Rx comes from SOMBRA of Canada. I do not know what Apogee is in 
this case
I have one for about two months now
it sets the frequency somehow differently then other synthetized Rx's
is winning my confidence over any other Rx I have been using
Great performer, great features. Is worth every dime you spend on it
I am waiting for their  8-9 channel one to put in my scale ships
