Yhe problem with clips and locks other than a TSA Lock is that I have had
vandalism and got Sportube HALVES coming out of the baggage conveyor. With the
TSA lock, you can stand there and help the TSA inspector take it apart, and put
it back in, and supposedly it will not be reopened after that inspection.
Holes punched in my carbon wings, big ones, and bent in half rudders is what
you chance and noisy bored backroom baggage guys looking for goodies.

Take the lock with you, but use something like a binder ring or a hitch pin
on the airline. Securely fasten whatever you use to the case and hope they
put it back right if they do open the case.

If you use a lock, hang the key on the lock. Use a cable tie to keep both
the key and the lock attached to the case.

Skip Miller has a nice clip that he uses, but I haven't found one quite like
it.
