[RCSE] What size building board?
For those of you who still frame up wings on a building board, what length board do you prefer? Also, do you frame up wings for 3M or larger sailplanes and is this board length sufficient for those? Also, what width board would you recommend? Just wide enough for one wing half at a time (the width of the root chord plus a little) or do you prefer to build two panels at once (two chord widths plus a little)? And finally, are there any other considerations I should take into account when sizing a building board? Thank you for your help! Re: [RCSE] What size building board?
I use a small pool table slate with a piece of glass on it. Mine is about 3x6' and I could use 4x8 easily. gv Michael Trull wrote: For those of you who still frame up wings on a building board, what length board do you prefer?
