Re: [RCSE] "feminus danglius volupti" clouds
Locally "mammiform" clouds associated with thunderstorms indicate the risk of tornadoes. Don't mess with Mammi-form Nature. Tom H. Re: [RCSE] "feminus danglius volupti" clouds
Cumulonimbus mamma or mammalus Harley, but I like your definition better. Don't go near 'em in or with a flying machine, they're often precurser of a tornado and will lash out at you if you sneak up on them, much like their homo sapien counterparts... Does anyone know the proper name for the cloud formations suggested by the name I've given them in the Subject Line? If this shape is outside of your experience, your education is sorely lacking. LOL. Cumulo-Nimbus Mammatus. A regular feature of New Mexico's mid-summer skies. Often a hint from Mother Nature to go inside before the skies open up with rain, wind, and hail. Mammatus, simply enough. http://vortex.plymouth.edu/cloudboutique/mammatus.jpg On 10/17/05, Harley Michaelis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Does anyone know the proper name for the cloud formations suggested by the > name I've given them in the Subject Line? > > If this shape is outside of your experience, your education is sorely > lacking. > > RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News.
