Stan,

Who has the club wench? That would take care of turning of the spool..
When Joe Therlkeld and I used to fly all the time at the farm I used to bring my kids out to the field and pay them 25 cents each time they retrieved the cute after launch. That worked great until they were a little older and got wise to what we were doing. lol

Well, Stan, a friend of mine suffered a similar fate when he found he needed
some heart work. Walking back and forth to chase the 'chute, set up and
tear down were too much for him to handle alone. He went to electric
sailplanes. There are several planes you can get that weigh less than 80
ounces ready to fly. They have quite spirited launches with their brushless
motors, and land slow and controlled with their flaps and ailerons in the
'crow' position.

I know that doesn't directly solve the rewind problem, but I thought I'd
throw this out to you. gv

I am currently using a Orange colored reel that can be found at Home Depot
that
was designed to be used to as a reel for outdoor electrical extensions.

I wind the rubber up first to get a larger dia. hub to wind the nylon string
up
faster, but alas, its way too slow for this aging flyer. Any out there
with a
better idea including some type of power rig. I thought about some type of
spool that I could put on a cordless drill motor. Any Help out there?

TIA

Stan
