Actually all of the MPX euqipment is on positive shift (like JR) so
modifications are needed to work with Futaba equipment. Almost everyone
(except Futaba) uses Positive shift, so no negative shift is possible.
As to the FCC regs on the mods. The mod can be done at the factory and is
covered if done there. The type cert covers this already. Also the changes
are done by a FCC certified tech, so the changes are done correctly already.
No need for further changes.
You can though get a switch installed that will allow switching between
positive and negative shift. This requires individual type certification,
which is included in the process by the tech doing the job.
