Area Censorship

2013-01-04 Thread Fx Person

Hello!

To clarify a situation,

I have forwarded here an Email sent to Cory Mogk and Maurice Patel on the
"Rumors" thread,

which included the following when talking about my post that was blocked::
_
.. and was immediately presented with a
"your post is held for moderation"  message.

After a week I assumed that it wouldn't show-up (as it didn't since),

.. but what made me -NOT- think that  "held for moderation"
actually meant  "held for censorship" ...

And to clarify, after subsequent discussions with Maurice, Cory, and Nicolas
Leduc (Area Admin I think)
it seems that it was the spam filter which intercepted my post .
(perhaps due to the fact that I was also the last poster on that same thread
adding something)

So if I gave the impression that The Area censored it's forums, my apologies.

Thanks and Happy New Year everyone!

not equial a valid override or am I missing something?

Hi everyone,

Happy New Year to everyone, I hope 2013 is great for everyone. I have a scene
that I had a bunch of passes set up and working for test purposes rendering
with Arnold. I deleted all the passes and recreated them in the way I want
them for final render. Everything renders fine until I put a new override onto
a partition (I had the same overrides set up in my test passes, shadow, depth,
ao) , as soon as I have an override and draw a render region XSI crashes with
out any warning, even if the override parameter isnt overriding any property's.
This could be an XSI issue and not an Arnold problem but I havent experienced
it before.

I'm rolling back to the scene that was working but I was wondering if anyone
else has had this issue as it's driving me nuts and its only day 2 back at work.

Thanks in advance

Darren

I think Matt with the small annoying things first collection of issues
has set a record that can't be beaten easily.
My word count on this mailing list is probably not that high, CGTalk
though, that's another story :p

And bugger, no top ten for me. Must be the first or second time in ten
years.

Thanks Stephen, the year recap posts are always entertaining.
