Re: 2012 SAP sometimes decides to ignore the ALT key
I'm using PS CS5 (12.4) and today the Alt problem came back. But I realized that selecting PS without maximizing in full window just to bring it in front and, with PS in front, select the Softimage window that is in the back, fixed my Alt problem without restarting SI or closing PS. I always use PS in window mode over Softimage, but I guess it may work with PS maximized too. Check if you have Photoshop running. It's stealing your hotkeys if some of its panels are active...It drove me crazy! It's not Softimage issue, it's adobe issue. I'll be working along in 2012 SAP, and want to open something like the ICE Tree or the Texture Editor. Since I'm on Windows I press Alt-7 for the Texture Editor and Alt-9 for the ICE Tree. But randomly, XSI will decide it no longer wants to recognize that and will do nothing when those keys are pressed, until I restart XSI. Alt-7 and Alt-9 do nothing until I restart.
