I think it's just recently that 'regular service packs' (not extensions or updates that add functionality) are considered as a "subscription advantage". (except for big bugs) I guess to further entice recurring customers, but not just by means of providing 'good products'. forums.autodesk.com/t5/moving-to-subscription/what-am-i-left-with-once-my-maintenance-expires/td-p/6934331/page/2 felice.s wrote: Hi @davidh2 Products without an active maintenance plan or subscription are not entitled to receive incremental technology/product value such as service packs, version updates, product enhancements, etc. However, downloads to repair functionality, such as hot-fixes for urgent and/or pervasive issues, as well as security patches are available to everyone regardless of contract status. Does not compute. Service packs are downloads to repair functionality, and should therefore be provided to all customers regardless. [] -- Softimage Mailing List. Re: Can the Softimage/Maya from SP2 to SP6
Service Packs on the main release can be found online at AD, and installed without any license changes. The Extension packs (and their SP's) need an active license to login and download afaik. A new release (e.g. 2015>2016) will include all of the above, and the new stuff. All this makes a confusing set of updates ;) Rob \/-\/\/ On 22-9-2017 2:37, Sven Constable wrote: I was just referring to regular service packs, that were updates to the their specific version. I was able to update to SP6 by downloading it first from the Autodesk website. Also updated Mental Ray.
