As the author of something like LKL, it would have been surprising if you -didn't- have a project-specific/optimized custom setup lol. Also, while LkLightning can of course do and guide tesla like electrical strands, you could just as well have called it something like LK HighPerformance* non-simulated effects framework .. or something like that ;) * staying live and interactive even with lots of stuff going on Cause just looking at the range of effects/applications with only a handful of nodes/settings, "Lightning" seems to only be the beginning(!) :) from Manuel Riedl http://vimeo.com/77987646 So congrats (and thank you!) for that, and again to you and your team for the awesome work at DigitalGolem! Thanks for the kind words, Jason. It is not just me who rules though ;), Jean-Louise Billard and Pierre Cambert did absolutely kick-ass jobs on the animation and the compositing respectively. @Roman, Althought it's a really short glimpse of a short, when I saw it I went .. HUH! and had to replay it a few times. Very refined, subtle and believable details (both movement and look) making for quite a stunning spectacle. Very nice and beautiful work! ( can't wait to see more glimpses :] ) @Leonard I was going to say.. LkLightning I presume? (before knowing that you had a take in it) :] And man.. Nike Fibre and now this.. Lk rules! :) Didn't need all that to know that your (and other) compounds (and ICE, and Soft themselves) totally rock! But talk about fine examples. With your stuff, (and ICE and Soft) Spiderman 2 (for instance) would've been done in a flash ;) or maybe is that what they secretly used lol Nevertheless, Congrats! on this really awesome, intense (and also *very well choreographed*) peice!
