Thanks for the kind words, Jason. It is not just me who rules though ;),
Jean-Louise Billard and Pierre Cambert did absolutely kick-ass jobs on the
animation and the compositing respectively.
Actually only some of it is LK Lightning. With setups that have as much
geometry I prefer to use purpose built systems.
They perform better because they lack the overhead of a more general system
like LKL. Still all non-simulated though, just like LKL.
Obviously having something purpose-build from the ground up for every
effect is a luxury, which is why we still used LKL for as much as we could.

SP01 was a really fun one. Tons of custom tools and lots of iterations on
all the electricity effects - all done in ICE.
The guys at Digital Golem really know their stuff and are super cool to
work with.
