Solr Trec settings

I am trying to find good fitting settings for TREC (disk 4 and 5) collections
in Solr. Specially I am interested in the configuration of the fields in
schema.xml (which stemmer, tokenizer, stop words, etc).

Hi,
I have a very general question. Is it possible to index a TREC collection
with Solr (not Lucene Benchmark) using an own schema.xml (analyzer
defintions,...)? I want to index a TREC collection with different settings
to see which fits best.
