SolrCloud is not for multi-region distribution, the latency will kill you.

You may find it useful to review Apple presentation from last Solr
Revolution, they discussed bi-derectional message queue for a similar

Hi,
We would like have a system that will run on different regions with same Solr 
index.
These are the regions:

1.   Europe

2.   Singapore

3.   US

I would like to know what is the best practice to implement it. If it by 
implementing SolrCloud please share some basic guidelines on how to enable it 
and configure.
