Hi All, I am new to the SOLR enviornment. I will really appreciate if someone can guide me on whats the equivalence for unit32 and alos on using wildcard. There is no 'unsigned' 32-bit integer. You can use a long and never set the value to larger than 2^32 = 4 billion something. If your uint32 values are less than 2^31, you can use the int field type. Otherwise you have to use the long field type. Lucene/Solr supports * and ? for wildcards with the usual Unix interpretation. But, some query parsers do not permit leading wildcards. Performance can vary widely, sometimes very good, and sometimes very bad, depending on the number of matching terms.
