Yes, it depends on the path of your source tree. It consistently fails
on the autobuilds since a few weeks.

Maybe we should force MKREPRO=yes for size restricted boot images, but
it is not quite that easy.

That was not needed.  I successfully built the
ramdisk with the current settings.
