[Spacewalk-list] spacewalk api equivalent to "Compare all managed files to system"

2012-10-05 Thread john miller
is there a spacewalk api equivalent to "Compare all managed files to
system" link in the webgui? On a single system I would like to compare all
files on a particular system. I was hoping for something like
system.config.scheduleFileComparisons(key, id).

so far the closest I can come up with is

for file in configChannel.listFiles(key, channelLabel)
   configChannel.scheduleFileComparisons(key, channelLabel,
file['path'],[systemId])

But this will schedule a separate event for each file? correct?

You need an update to the lookup table for release names.   I have the updated
table on my spacewalk server.   I will send you something afterwhile – I can’t
get to it right now.

Hi, This should be a common issue, but I haven't found the solution yet.

# gensystemid -u rhnusername -p rhnpassword --release=6server --arch=x86_64
/mrepo/rhel_6_server-x86_64
gensystemid: Release name 6server is not a known RHN release.

# gensystemid -h | grep rhnrelease
  -r, --release=rhnrelease specify rhn release {2.1,3,4}{AS,ES,WS,Desktop}
5{Server,Client}

The question is how to use gensystemid to create systemid and then mrepo to
download RHEL6 repositories?

Thank you in advance!

I am trying this way now:

# cp -p /etc/sysconfig/rhn/systemid /mrepo/rhel_6_server-x86_64/.

Working for optional, don't know updates yet.

The system is only affected if the specific version of that rpm that has the
bug or security hole is installed. 0 affected systems means your systems are
upto date. This is a good thing!
