[Spacewalk-list] Delay in deploying configuration in a new 7.2 client

2015-12-03 Thread Morgan Marodin
Hi everyone.

I've installed a new linux physical client with RHEL like distribution,
version 7.2.
I've configured it to use my Spacewalk installation, version 2.2.

All is ok updating the system, but I'm having some delay problem deploying
configuration.
For example I've scheduled an immediate deploy yesterday at 4:16 pm, but my
client had received it at 7:42 pm.

Other clients do not have this problem.
The only difference is that they are virtual systems, not physical ...

Clocks are syncronized ... so what could be the problem?

Please let me know, thanks.

Sounds like osad is not running and rhnsd is using its default refresh time of
240 minutes.

Yes, it's true. It was the problem:

[root@myserver log]# osad -v
2015-12-03 15:41:56 jabber_lib.__init__:
Invalid Cert Error:

ERROR: unhandled exception occurred: (Unable to read file
/usr/share/rhn/ULN-CA-CERT).

I've replaced sslCACert parameter into /etc/sysconfig/rhn/up2date with the
correct one, and then it works perfectly.
Thanks, bye

FYI, this is documented in the Oracle Linux 7.2 release notes:

https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E52668_01/E67200/html/section_u1n_g15_3r.html

Cheers,
Avi
