Re: [Spacewalk-list] Spacewalk 2.10 add ubuntu client 16.04 18.04 20.04

2021-02-15 Thread REYNALD chekhina
HI,

I am trying to install the client on ubuntu 20.04 so i have created a local
repo of
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/systemsmanagement:/spacewalk:/2.9:/debclients/xUbuntu_20.04/

but when i have tried to install apt-transport-spacewalk there is a missing
dependency for python3-hwdata. I have searched in google but this package
doesnt exist for ubuntu 20.04 so i have downloaded the
python3-hwdata-2.3.6-3.el8.noarch.rpm package and created a deb with alien.
After this i can install apt-transport-spacewalk  rhn-client-tools rhn-setup
packages.

Now the problem is when i try to connect my client ubuntu 20.04 with rhnreg_ks
i have this error :

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/sbin/rhnreg_ks", line 35, in
from up2date_client import rhnreg
  File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/up2date_client/rhnreg.py", line 14, in

from up2date_client import up2dateUtils
  File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/up2date_client/up2dateUtils.py", line

  File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/up2date_client/up2dateErrors.py", line

from platform import dist
ImportError: cannot import name 'dist' from 'platform'
(/usr/lib/python3.8/platform.py)

can you help me please ?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards 😉
