Dear readers of pourinfos,

Pourinfos.org come back (in a minimum service - the service of
information on the exhibitions is suspended, the letter pourinfos will
be less frequent) until the end of this year 2007.
We are looking for a viable solution in order to develop and to continue
this experiment media concerning visual arts for artists, mediators,
professionals of art, students and students of schools of art.
To be more precise, we are in the search of financing in order to
develop us and some qualified goodwills in the fields of the mediation
concerning arts and management (English wished) in order to answer our
development durably.
If we remain without solutions at the end of this year, Pourinfos.org
would regret to suspend its activities.

Yours,
Xavier Cahen

Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Movement, Computation and Digital Media

The Arts, Media and Engineering Program (AME) (http://ame.asu.edu)
and the Dance Department ) (http://dance.asu.edu) at Arizona State
University are announcing an opening for a tenure-track assistant
professor in Movement, Computation and Digital Media.

AME is an internationally leading program for transdisciplinary
graduate research and education in media arts and sciences. The
program has established digital media concentrations in the PhD and
Masters degrees of ten different disciplines: Dance, Visual Art,
Music, Theater and Film, Design, Electrical Engineering, Computer
Science and Informatics, Bioengineering, Psychology, and Education.
The program also offers a PhD in Media Arts and Sciences. Twelve AME
faculty and thirty affiliated faculty from the participating
departments work collaboratively with graduate students supported by
research assistantships for the creation of innovative experiential
media systems, models and applications. AME, a strategic initiative
of ASU, has state of the art media facilities and diverse external
support streams.

The ASU Dance Department is one of the top dance training schools in
the U.S. running both undergraduate and graduate programs with
special concentrations on choreography, performance and dance
education. Media and technology have been key elements in the
department’s approach for many years enabling students to explore
diverse applications in relationship to research, production and
performance.

exploration of the movement aspects of adaptive and responsive
multimodal systems at AME and the Dance Department and will also lead

of significant advancements in interactive experiential media.

appointee’s interests, research and creation.

The appointee will have their tenure home with AME. They will further
have the opportunity to place 25% of their appointment with the Dance
Department. This will allow for close collaboration with Dance
faculty, supervision of Dance students and opportunities for special
topics courses within Dance. The appointee will coordinate research
and education activities across the two units on issues relating to
movement, computation and digital media.

Required Qualifications: Terminal degree in Dance, Kinesiology,
Digital Media or closely related field OR undergraduate degree (or

field and international recognition as a leading movement

movement, computation and digital media appropriate to rank.

Desired Qualifications: Interdisciplinary experience in movement
research and creation spanning Media, Arts and Engineering;
experience in codification of movement qualities, and/or embodied
learning and/or computer-assisted movement training; industry and/or

Application Deadline: November 25, 2007; if not filled, every FOUR
weeks thereafter until search is closed. Anticipated start date is
August 18, 2008.

Application Procedure: Send a letter of interest; CV; up to four

products and/or publications; and, names, addresses and telephone
numbers for three professional references to: Chair, Movement,
