Subject: Word from Urdu language

Here is an entry from Pakistan in the Urdu language:

"HUMZUN"= feminist.
(there has been no one word for feminist in the Urdu language before; the English word was used instead. I have come up with this one: 'Hum' means 'same', 'with', ('homo')[derived from Persian; and 'Zun' is a word for woman [also derived from Persian]. The connecting of these two creates a symbiosis that connotes solidarity between women and with women, reagardless of one's gender.
