Sorry, your email was stuck in moderation queue, and it only made it to
the mailing list now. virt-manager.org seems to be back now.

At some point I tried to push the package to epel, but I think I missed a
step to get it in the repositories :-/ But as other people mentioned, it
will be shipped with RHEL6.2

Or, if you have entitlement for RH EL, normally you have entitlement
for the beta too.
So you can download the iso and install in the mean time those packages.
Taking care that is a beta.. but non need to replace any existing
packages in your rh el 6.12 install

Oh no! Can not find RPM's for spice-gtk, even at pbone.net, for
RHEL 6.x. Pbone dose have FC15, but there are too many broken
dependencies.

Any know of a source for these RPM's for RHEL 6?

I just tested virt-manager on one of my RHEL 6.1 boxes and it includes QXL and
SPICE but the system does not have the spice-gtk package installed... since
there isn't one. Some other package is providing the functionality.

The only spice related packages that I see installed on the system are:

I just verified that getting the dvd iso of rhel 6.2 beta and
installing these packages on a rh el 6.1 updated up to 18/10/2011

# ll spice-gtk_from_rhel62beta/
total 276
-r--r--r-- 1 root root 226864 Nov 16 18:04 spice-glib-0.6-2.el6.x86_64.rpm
-r--r--r-- 1 root root 36744 Nov 16 18:01 spice-gtk-0.6-2.el6.x86_64.rpm
-r--r--r-- 1 root root 15132 Nov 16 18:16 spice-gtk-python-0.6-2.el6.x86_64.rpm

# cd spice-gtk_from_rhel62beta
# yum localinstall *rpm

I can configure a CentOS 5.6+CR guest with qxl video adapter and spice display.
And I'm able to see it inside virt-manager without the SpiceClientGtk
module missing message.
BTW: the guest is in init level 3 and I see and can use its console
without problems.
