By any chance, did you write the little piece that's been floating around
about the bizarre stations around the Jupiter Inlet area?

Actually I was the one who wrote the piece on the Jupiter Inlet stations in
the pages of MT. Before you post the pdf, you better check with Gerry
Dexter. He is the publisher at Tiare and he owns the copyright on the book
you are talking about. I'm sure you don't want a lawsuit for posting their
 material to the net. ;-

Also nice to see you are still around John F. Longtime no talk. Hope all
 is
well for you down FLA way.

Ahh, hi there! Pleased to meet you... I had no idea Havana Moon was a
  duo!

By any chance, did you write the little piece that's been floating around
about the bizarre stations around the Jupiter Inlet area? I was up there
  not
too long ago and didn't find anything noticeably on the air, but it was
pretty interesting to see the strangely placed towers...

I'm actually quite interested in learning more about some of the old
 radio
ghosts around here... Even now, almost a quarter of a decade later, the
  numbers stations still chant on...

I thought one of the silliest things I observed was where a Spanish
  station
(transmissions V2a format) was temporarily installed across the street
  from
FIU... just a block or two down from the Sweetwater Police Department! I
happened across this one completely by accident, or rather, a classmate
 of
mine did... this was back when 94.9 ZETA was still around, they picked up
  my
Icom IC-R3 and inadvertently dialed in 9.490 AM, and there it was...
received indoors with the 7 flex duck antenna. I knew it had to be RIGHT
nearby so I took a little walk and found it. The building it was in is
 now
once again a shopping center, but it was under renovation at the time.
  That
  was grand. :)

I downloaded it the day it was announced and mine opens fine. Either it's
