Ary,What does the pattern of the signal look like? How wide and so on? I ran 
into a bit of a mystery that was published in the Frb edition of Spectrum 
Monitor where I found what appeared to be a pirate signal at 4.060 mHz 
Christmas eve, playing music but OFDM was mentioed by one of the editors as 
what the signal looked like.  Just wondering if there might be an odd 
correlation there. You can write me off the list if you find anything 
interesting.

seems a bit overmodulated. I've never listened to that schedule before, but
I've never seen this kind of issues coming from GRU. Indeed a rare
recording :)

but nothing of the advance tuning.  Is this station known for manual tuning,
and for an extended period of time (2+ minutes)?  Or possibly for short CW
op-chat by the transmitter crew?

Try 16327 khz at 0830  and 13875 at 0930, both are also beamed towards the
Pacific area. So it is likely the same transmitter as at 0400

Thanks Ary, and it turned out there was no repeat transmission on that freq,
but there was lots of bare carrier for quite a while.

Thanks Ary, and it turned out there was no repeat transmission on that 
freq, but there was lots of bare carrier for quite a while.

Having searched through the various documents I have concluded that what I
heard yesterday was S06.
This seems to be a new frequency that was once used by XP.
S06c is mentioned as having a 16:10 TX so this could be what I heard.

S06 13885 khz in progress 16:49 to 16:57 12/05/2005

Today 13/4/05

7335 khz AM S06 calling ID then message, very muffled TX at 08:31

9480 khz AM but monitored in LSB for clarity, S06 calling ID 728? then
message.
While message was being sent I could hear another underneath, sounded like
a tape that still had a old recording on it! again main message sounded
very muffled. 08:40

Clips from both will be on my site later today.
