I have been watching it closely (via the justin.tv and audio streams) for the last couple of days and find a few things interesting. * When it is very late in the USA, I notice that activity nearly disappears (around 2AM PST / 5AM EST). No morse has been noticeable during this period, and the waterfall shows a light carrier signal that seems to very slowly sweep over an hour. * When it is daytime in the USA, it's flourishing with activity. For example, right now there is a loud and strong whine, combined with morse and what sounds like some kind of packet signal. The waterfall shows activity across the 1kHz spread, that reminds me of PSK activity (although it doesn't sound like it). What is most interesting to watch and listen to is a swooshing that seems to occupy about 1kHz (right of the strong whine at 4622.5kHz). I have only heard and seen this once or twice. When the swoosh (sounds like mild ocean waves or really mild white noise) kicks in, the intensity/color of the strong wine at 4622.5kHz decreases to compensate for the increase signal across the 1kHz spread. Is this some kind of data transfer? When you see it visually, it seems like it must be, but it's innocent only by sound as the waves sound too peaceful to be data. * A pulsing packet is heard in 0.4kHz left of the strong whine at 4622.5kHz, but only infrequently, and lasts for about 10 seconds. Any ideas what encoding this might be? Is anyone aware of any software that can decode multiple signals at once from an audio stream? It would be nice to select chunks of the band and assign protocols to decode. I'd prefer OSX, but would settle for Windows/Linux. The buzzer transmits in full USB nowadays so I don't know if this is related. Any ideas what encoding this might be? Is anyone aware of any software that can decode multiple signals at once from an audio stream? It would be nice to select chunks of the band and assign protocols to decode. I'd prefer OSX, but would settle for Windows/Linux. The buzzer transmits in full USB nowadays so I don't know if this is related. I have been watching it closely (via the justin.tv and audio streams) for the last couple of days and find a few things interesting. * When it is very late in the USA, I notice that activity nearly disappears (around 2AM PST / 5AM EST).
