I think it's helpful feature. With possibility to redefine existing SQLite
shell commands.

Best regards, Alexey.

[sqlite] Patch to allow custom meta commands?

2008-10-04 Thread Russell Leighton

Richard,

Would you accept a patch to allow user supplied 'dot' commands in the
shell?

For my own purposes I wanted to have '.load' define some meta commands
as well as custom SQL functions.

Would anyone else find this useful?

Russ

Sorry for the triple message spam. Apparently I fail at email.

I love railroad diagrams, and these are particularly attractive. Nice!
A few suggestions:

The diagrams are read most easily left to right; rolling to a new line
greatly reduces the utility, IMO. Roughly 7% of the 'net is still
using 800x600, and surely far less of tech savvy audience.

I suggest increasing the image width to at least 900px before
wrapping, and possibly even suggest possibly never wrapping them
(instead putting each in a scrollable section).

Also, it would be super nice if the sub-diagram sections in the images
were hotlinked to that heading on the page. Yes, I'm actually
suggesting 20th century image map technology.

And while I love the diagrams, I'm a little concerned about their
accessibility, given that there's no alt text for them. I think
they're a huge improvement over the text schema, but I'd like to
ensure that the text-only is available somewhere.
