No artists, albums etc. in LMS Web UI :-(

I don't know how to interpret the information, so I enclose it below.
Hope someone can read something out of it.
Thanks for trying! :-)

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Help please - Replacing a ReadyNas Duo V1

2016-02-18 Thread forestpct

Hi. Have an old ReadyNas Duo V1 (RND2000) which has finally failed
(Drives are OK but unit not accessible on LAN and will not power down).
Have been thinking of upgrading to a later model anyway so now have to.
Have used current unit with LMS add-on to stream music to Logitech
Radios and Squeezebox Duet. Could someone confirm that the LMS Add-on
is OK to use with the Netgear ReadyNas 100/200 products and that I can
still use with Radios/Duet?

Thanks

The packages we provide are NOT compatible with more recent ReadyNAS
units. They're only compatible up to the Duo/NV v2 from a few years ago.

That said I think there are solutions for newer ReadyNAS boxes. You
might check over at the ReadyNAS forums.

You say no artists album in webUI, but it is reporting that the albums
and tracks are there after last scan in what you posted. The first
thing I would do is a complete "clear and rescan" scan of your library.
May not solve problem, but can't hurt.

Here is the log from a new scan, as you suggested. Same result though.
:-(

I forgot to mention in my original post:
I can (and could before this rescan) open albums and see their covers on
ipeng but all albums are empty.
I can also see the years - but every year is empty as well.

On the Squeezebox Duet remote there is nothing, no albums, no years, no
genres.

I can see and start playback from the music folders on both ipeng and
the remote.
Hopefully someone can see the source of the problems in the new logfile:

Sorry - I don't understand - it even took me a lot of time to find the
submenu :p

Should I select log set (Media scanner, transconder, server etc.)
or
enable Advanced Log Settings: Save logging settings for use at next
application restart ?

Change the setting for scan.scanner (scroll down) to INFO and then click

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Missing artwork/artist index when casting to UPnP players

2016-02-18 Thread oyvindo

Hi all,

I have an issue getting LMS to pass on artist and albumart info properly
to UPnP players (renderers). All tracks (MP3) play ok, and all controls
work ok (volume/pause/play), but there is no albumart and it says: no
artist. This problem is persistent no matter which UPnP player I try (I
have tried many, incl. Kodi, BubbleUPnP etc.) on different clients (iOS,
Android, Linux).
There are no problems when playing to SqueezeLite players or genuine
Logitech HW squeezeboxes.

My LMS log shows the following error message each time I attempt to play
through UPnP, but never when I play through a regular player:

sq_get_metadata:474 [0x812dfd0]: missing index

Below is a visual of the problem:

19981

Anyone with some good ideas what to look for?

The newer readynas will work with LMS.
Of the duo ( 2 drive ) units, the 202 or 212 series is better suited.
The 212 would be the best choice.
The 102 boxes will only stream non transcoded files. The cpu and memory
are not up to the task.

I'm BLUSHING here. That logfile is Greek to me - as is the scanner log.
I wouldn't know where to start! :-(
Since the last thing I did before the new scan was to activate the
scanner.log file I have enclosed the whole thing. Cant be that many
extra lines since I started 20:07.

Instead of clogging the thread with a 13165kb textfile I've uploaded it
to Dropbox. Hope it works. Here's the link.

The scan is fine. Your LMS reports all the files found, artists, albums
etc. Now we only have to figure out why you don't get to see it.

Please tell us more about your installation: what plugins (if any), what
browser, how you navigate there, server.log file etc.

How do you stream to Kodi? Browsing the LMS built-in UPnP server from
Kodi? Or using Kodi like a SB with the help of that 3rd party plugin?

Hmm... why doesn't it read that one? It's in the search path. It's a
valid copy of what we ship (identical shasum). I don't get it.

Maybe you can edit /etc/defaults/logitechmediaserver (or
squeezeboxserver? don't remember...) to add the --d_startup flag. Then
regularly restart using the init script.

OK - I'll try :-)
My system is a Windows 10 Pro
System info says:
i5-3570K CPU, @ 3,40GHz 3,80GHz
16GB RAM, 64 Bit

I'm running the Web UI on the latest version of Firefox (recently
updated). I've also tried on Chrome - with the same results.
I open the Web interface with the address: http://127.0.0.1:9000/ (but
that shouldn't have anything to say for the Squezbox Receiver or iPeng?)

I have uploaded log files and screenshots of the plugin info screen in a
"Squeezebox" folder on Dropbox.
The link is:

It's getting late here in Norway. Hope you guys finds out something
during my night. Will be back when I've had some sleep ;-)

EDIT: And I'm VERY grateful for the help!

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Help please - Replacing a ReadyNas Duo V1

2016-02-18 Thread mark wollschlager

There is a "pre install" deb and then the LMS package deb. Load them in
the OS 6 web interface and install them, configure from the web
interface
The files are 'Here in the app devs dropbox'
I have been running the 7.8 for a year now. Very stable.
I did see some chatter saying that the latest update to the OS 6 broke
LMS. Did not break mine.
The official page of ReadyNAS apps is
http://apps.readynas.com/pages/?page_id=9. The LMS app is about half way
down on the right side. The "pre" install deb there is old at 1.0.6 and
a newer one is located in the dropbox location.
I believe that the latest 1.0.9 pre installer all will work with the 7.9
debian but I have not tried it. Yet.

What language have you set your LMS to? The screenshots are in English,
but is this what you are using?

The one error which is obvious in your server.log file is related to the
language setting. Alas I wouldn't understand how it would prevent you
from browsing your music, as it shows in the "images" query. Do you even
use the video/image part of LMS? If not: remove the checkbox for those
types in the path settings. Rescan, try again.

You're saying that you can't access music. Are the menus missing, or are
they returning empty?

Do you know how to telnet?
