Hi,

you should (unless your Internetconnection is up again) use lms with the
-nomysqueezebox parameter (just to avoid some errors - that parameter
has nothing to do with your albumart question).

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] No album art on Touch screen ?

2016-05-25 Thread swayzak

Hello

We have no internet connection yet in our new house, but have been
streaming music fine from my laptop LMS 7.9.

However album art is not appearing on the Touch screen (but is on my
mobile via SqueezeCommander).

Does the Touch require internet connection to show album art ? If not
any ideas ?

Thanks

2016-05-25 Thread Mnyb

I'm not sure but worth a try .

The synced player when unsyncing it do that particular player return to
the "old" playlist at next reboot

as you see the playlists name are prepended by the mac id of the player
it belongs to .

The Manufaturer of the 4th "player" is INTEL CORPORATE - you use some
Softwareplayer @ 24.mar. If you didnt use that player anymore you can
drop/delete that file.

Is the user squeezeboxserver in the group users?
My playlists are all owned by "squeezeboxserver nogroup" - please check
the groups and /or validate the permissions with your logfiles (usualy
stored in /var/log/squeezeoxserver).
Please check also the permissions on the "prefsroot"
(/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs) - should be drwxr-xr-x

The permissions "-rw-r--r-- " for your m3u(s) also matches my setup.

Unraid is Linux based.

So looks like I've got a few of these playlists in the prefs folder...

Hi,

on my setup it works 100%.

On which OS is your lms running? (i have no clue about docker)

On my lms (running on debian) the clientplaylist is stored in
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs/clientplaylist_-pl:ay:er:sm:ac.m3u- and
that file is always "new" when i add/change the players playlist.
Did you check the timesatmp from that file already ?
Maybe some filepermissions and lms runs under different users sometimes?

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Maintain Client playlists - only maintains sometimes?!?

2016-05-25 Thread johnieutah

Hey guys,

So I like to carry on listening to albums where I got up to the night
before, and have noticed that even with the *Maintain Client Playlists*
option selected, this only works about 30% of the time (at best). Most
of the time powering on the player will result in some old playlist from
a few nights ago popping up.
20529

So how does this work exactly? Could it be the way the server is
shutdown or something? SBS is running in a Docker container within
Unraid for reference. All other features regarding playlist generation
work fine btw, it's just this feature only seems to work some of the
time.

Thanks.

Systemd should be compatible with classic init-scripts.
I've done some first testing with LMS and Xubuntu 16.04 and it seemed OK
on my systems.
