Correct - 26th Jan

I'll upgrade the M2P nightly to the release version this morning and
report back.

Correct again Michael, it's not an issue with 7.9.0 Release scanner.

Before trying the upgrade I decided to try copying my ACDC folder from
the QNAP directly onto the microSD in the pCP, changed the LMS music
folder to that new local source and folder T.N.T. was discovered and
scanned.

So it must be something to do with the mount point settings on my pCP

Thanks as ever for all your hard work on LMS and help, and for the quick
response. Apologies for wasting your time.

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Covers do not appear in the TIDAL plugin

2017-06-29 Thread juniorbudel

Hello people!

I am facing a difficulty, I use LMS with Sotm SMS-200, associated with
the native TIDAL plugin.

I listened to my personal playlists and it worked well for 3 months, a
few days started a problem, the able of the albums to be played are no
longer appearing, started gradually to the point where no more cover
appears, I tried to uninstall and reinstall the TIDAL plugin without
success .

Has anyone faced similar problem? Could you help me?

Thank you in advance!

If this would make any difference, I would have told so. But normally I
use SqueezePlay, iPeng or SqueezeCtrl.

Now this is an answer I can work with. I will do so in the next days.

> Then provide the full log file. Not just snippets.

If it makes you happy to read 2000+ and more lines of
"Slim::Utils::Scanner::Local::new (891) Handling new playlist file:"
instead of "Removed events 891" where it occured, fine by me. I always
find uncluttering things a nice thing to do.

But it will take a while. LMS runs on a file server, so I can only do
one round a night.

Smile and the whole world smiles with you.

I think I broke it.

You should ask the vendor to update LMS. If that revision number has

Now that's embarrassing...

Global symbol "$updateFile" requires explicit package name (did you
forget to declare "my $updateFile"?) at
/usr/local/slimserver/Slim/Utils/OS/Custom.pm line 86.

I committed a new version of that file. Paul asked about this variable.
And I claimed to have had this file in action for weeks. And then I
vaguely remember some un-committed changes I reset before pushing...

I'll try to fix this asap.

The fix is is merged.

Since your install is messed up right now. Open an ssh session and run

Code:

  tc@piTouch:~$ sudo rm /usr/local/slimserver/revision.txt
  tc@piTouch:~$ echo 1 | sudo tee /usr/local/slimserver/revision.txt
  1
  tc@piTouch:~$ sudo lms-update.sh -u -r -m

That will run the update script and force updating.

The upgrade from 7.9.0 to 7.9.1 works differently. The updates from
github were skipped in this case. If you were doing a normal same

Now see, I just wanted to help you, too: By compressing 2000+ lines into
one line with the same content (minus the blablafile.bla). I'm bewildert
by you giving me such a hard time for trying to make things easier for

You complain about not knowing which UI I use? Well, you have to admit:
You didn't ask.
You complain because of log "snippets"? That's just not true, the logs
were complete (s. above). And, btw. you did not complain when I posted
them ("Ok, that log doesn't look anything unusual.").

I'm sorry that you're disgruntled, but maybe you see now why I am quite
a bit surprised about your reaction? If so, I still would appreciate

I must say that is a major disappointment.
Logitech Media Server 7.9.0 won't run on the latest Debian Stable
release (6/17/2017, not even a month old).
LMS always ran extremely well on slightly older hardware. That was the
beauty of it. Purchasing new hardware was never in the plan.
Would've been nice if the install highlighted package
incompatibilities.

Oh well, I'll have to rethink my solution.

It will still run just fine. You'll just have to spend an hour building
the required modules.

I didn't include 5.24 binaries for i386 so far lack of requests. Every
set of binary I add is a.) some work, and b.) overhead for other
platforms. Therefore I tend to wait a bit until I see a need for a given
platform. Debian Scratch might indeed be a platform popular enough to
justify the effort...

That's unlikely the SSL issue. Hmm... check the server.log? Enable debug
logging for plugin.tidal. Maybe the cache file is corrupted or something.

If you're getting the Wimp symbol, then you're really running old code
and should update. The change from Wimp to TIDAL included more than just
brand changes, but some internal data handling, too.

more than enough... Still runs just fine on the current Core i3...

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server 7.9.0 is out!

2017-06-29 Thread teeitup

Michael,

That is awfully nice of you.

It's been awhile since I had to build a package. I got all of the
development packages installed. I found the source tarball. I don't find
a README or documentation in the package.

I couldn't see how the buildme.sh for Perl 5.24 fits in.

Probably a good thing you're going the extra mile to help me out.

Thank you,

I'll need this build too when I update my LMS box.

Builds are up:

Please let me know whether they work or not...
