Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] uPnP/DLNA rendering issue
I think Andy's plugin was developed to support Logitech Revue box to work with Google TV. LMS got video support as part of this effort. The Logitech product was canned and IIRC the plugin was not completed. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107863 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] uPnP/DLNA rendering issue
I don't know exactly if there is any difference between those two functions. What would LMS render to if not to its players? But I'm not too deep into DLNA. Nevertheless I recently played some music from my old android phone and even from my LMS (as DLNA server) with Bubble UPnP (an android DLNA App) to a SqueezeBox ( as DLNA renderer/player). All my SqueezeBoxes were only visible as players in Bubble UPnP while Andy Grundmans uPnP/DLNA Mediainterface was activated. Maybe TE should try with another source than Spotify? karlek's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64321 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107863 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Security reminder! Don't open your Squeezebox up to the internet.
This should be sticky. I talked to some people at a concert last week who have some kind of home streaming to their phones ( Not LMS ). I asked them about VPN, nope just made a hole. Like they saw a youtube video on how to do it. AFAIK it isn't supposed to turn your SBs into uPNP/DLNA players but rather expose LMS as a MediaServer & MediaRenderer for OTHER devices. *Pi3 with piCoreplayer music on QNAP TS419p via NFS* iThingys/iPeng/Tablets/Jogglers *Living Room* - Joggler & SB3 -> Onkyo TS606 - > Celestion Ditton F20s *Office* - Pi -> Sony TA FE320 -> Celestion F10s / Pi & SB3 -> Onkyo CRN 755 -> Wharfedale Modus Cubes *Dining Room* -> SB Boom *Kitchen* -> UE Radio (upgraded to SB Radio) *Bedroom (Bedside)* - SB Touch -> Topping TP21 -> AKG Headphones d6jg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44051 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107863 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Interesting map of Squeezebox users
I think the map is "conservative". I have the BBCiPlayer plugin on sourceforge which tracks destination of download - the repo is downloaded daily so while the number of downloads is not accurate (mulitple downad for same person) but the countries list gives an idea of the geographic spread. As expected it is UK focussed with expats and Anglophone countries making up the remainder but unlikely to be people on holiday. https://sourceforge.net/projects/bpaplugins/files/betarelease-repo.xml/stats/map?dates=2017-05-09%20to%202017-08-15 bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107861 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
