Thats random pure... Each "new" IP session gets another former unused port. That the Port ends with 53 (and is showing by searching 53) is nothing else than pure "luck". sorry i switch to /german... \German Please remove the lms Server again. Reboot the System and search in the registry - for squeeze and logitech (a pure guess) remove all these keys (unless its your logitech mouse or Headset) Now reboot the system again and install 7.9.1 btw: which win10 is it? creator update? My LMS server is a model 3 Raspberry Pi housed in a small unobtrusive black case, which sits out of the way (actually on top of the NAS), with a power cable, and an ethernet cable connecting it to the router. I don't think it draws much power, and I leave it running 24:7. The NAS and the Pi both sit in a cubby hole in an upstairs room. I'm running LMS 7.9.1, and I've installed the Spotty plugin for Spotify. Like you, I predominantly listen to flac rips from CD, but I do check things out on Spotify before purchase. (But you do need a Premium account). It does occur to me that if your current LMS running on the NAS still works well, you might be better to keep that in reserve so you can go back to it if you don't like the Raspberry Pi method. Hmm... thanks, both. Seems like you make a good case for the Pi. Is it a physically neat and tidy solution? I'd first have to overcome a couple of mental hurdles, one being that when I got my NAS (with LMS pre-installed) from Ripcaster, I recall spending many hours getting to grips with (but never fully understanding!) several plugins needed to create custom menus for my classical music library. This was back in the days when I felt more technologically inclined, and now it would be quite daunting if I had to figure out how I did it all, and set up a Pi effectively from scratch. Robert, thanks for the offer of set-up assistance - I'll bear you in mind. Another hurdle is that the 1TB NAS is a relatively "green" (low-power, low-noise, compact, one-box) solution for LMS and my music files (... but I wish the HDD would spin down when idle!) The thought of having to add, and power, a further box just for a later version of LMS is somewhat irksome. To date I've had no replies in the QNAP forum, so probably for now I will have a go at updating to 7.7.5 or 6 and see what transpires. philippe_44 wrote: > Re Tidal, I don't have it any more, so I can't say, but if they claim > 256 CBR (Constant Bit Rate), then it's 256, why would you expect it to > be 320?I was using Spotify, until support recently got pulled, and it was > 320k. TIDAL seem it bit coy about their bit rates: in the desktop app, my streaming options are either "Standard" or "High" (I have High selected). I believe the Touch automatically plays the best available stream, but with an apparent lack of additional info, and given that all the discussions I've read were about lossless, I was just hoping it would be equivalent to Spotify. Don't get me wrong - my local library is probably 99% CDs ripped to FLAC, and this is what I prefer to listen to. As I'm not streaming very often I can't justify paying £19.99/month for lossless. If I like an album on TIDAL that much, I will buy the CD and rip it. (I know they've brought out "Master", but there isn't the breadth of material yet, and it assumes you've got something which can play MQA.) losinj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16240 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108135 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Oh, and 23,000 tracks is not a rather large library by LMS standards, Ive seen people with over a million tracks, no problems there. --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and Logitech UE Smart Radio as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com *New: iPeng 9, the Universal App for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch* pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108138 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] iTunes Home Sharing Enabled causes LMS to shut down?
Maybe update to the latest 7.9.1 beta? I do use LMS and iTunes with Home Sharing in the same Mac so it can work. That said: I dont use iTunes integration in LMS because I dont have any iTunes playlists and LMS can scan an iTunes library simply by adding the music folder path (and my iTunes library is a bit disorganized, iTunes sucks at removing data) so unless you have iTunes playlists this could be a way for you, too.

IIRC UE 10 only supports UE Radio not legacy SB players. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108139 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Not sure if that's the cause of your problems, can't remember if UE10 is even supposed to have a web interface, but UE10 is a dead end. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Cannot access localhost:9000 on new iMac
Hi all, I've been running slimserver for years, firstly on a PC then secondly on an iMac (2009). I've just replaced the old iMac with a nice shiny new one, but now I am having some problems accessing slimserver through the browser. I downloaded the latest version (UE 10) from the nightly builds folder as SS wasn't working at all and the server wouldn't start. This new software solved this problem and I was able to start SS on the Mac, my Squeezebox classic can now see the Mac but it won't connect to it. I've tried to navigate to localhost:9000 on the Mac and I have also tried using 192.168.x.x:9000 and that doesn't work either. I saw a post on here about creating ~library/squeezebox/logs (I think that was it), which I have tried, but it didn't help. Any ideas what I am missing here? My Mac firewall is off at the moment to ensure it's not blocking anything. *av:* lg 32lx2r lcd denon avr2808 kef 2005.2 *source:* sky hd wii squeezebox 3 samsung dvd-1080p7 sony turntable all av equipment is black - i are co-ordinated! *other: *sky bb max (16mb) logitech harmony 525 infamous oppli stand! tv link black/black sb3 | ss 7.3.3 | imac http://www.xorro.co.uk Xorro's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11097 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108139 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
