[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Display of Tracks for Album Error
I recently migrated my server and have been playing with the new options in 7.9.1 in particular the Virtual Library functions and creating menu options. As a result I have been looking more closely at the displays and have noticed an oddity. Usually the artist is only added to the title of the track when the artist is not the same as the album artist however when the album artist includes & then it is added. So for example Elvis Costello & The Attractions is added to the track title but Elvis Costello and The Attractions is not. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Can LMS listen on multiple interfaces
In my experience LMS will listen on all IP addresses unless you direct it to do otherwise. I'm not certain if that would be the same as listening on all network interfaces. In any case, it should be very simple to test. I disabled Defender, installed the latest LMS again and re-enabled Defender - I then ran a Quick Scan and it didn't pick up anything so not sure why Defender had a problem earlier today - anyway seems to now be working again. brookheather's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4317 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108165 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

I had no problems installing that nightly LMS build on after updating Windows 10 to the Fall Creators update. I have Windows Defender as well as Malwarebytes running, and neither picked up a problem with the LMS exe. bwaldron's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1073 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108165 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

I use Avast as my AV with Defender disabled. Avast doesn't detect any problem with your stated version of 7.9.1. It's most likely a false positive. If you can submit suspect products to Defender like you can with Avast, I'd submit and then the Defender folks can evaluate it. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Can LMS listen on multiple interfaces
Ah - interesting - not a straight no then. So, as to why I have 3 subnets on my home LAN. The LMS is in 192.168.3.x, whereas most of the clients are on 192.168.1.x and there's various bits on 2.x. 1.x and 2.x can both see 3.x, but 1.x can't see 2.x. So, I can specify the ip of the server fine from any client, but that doesn't work for LMS discovery of course, but also doesn't work for DLNA as these are multicast. So, I wondered about creating multiple vlans on the LMS so that there's a server in each of the subnets. Could probably create vlans (i'm using PCP, so tinycore Linux) or failing that I could add separate physical interfaces as well. Anyone know off the top of their heads where tinycore keeps it's interfaces file? Any thoughts? In terms of future hardware capability, I couldn't say. But it's not a massive outlay! Essentially the steps to setting up the Pi would be: - download piCorePlayer and burn the image to an SD card - stick the SD card into the Pi - connect the Pi via ethernet cable to your router (your NAS should also be connected via cable) - boot the Pi by powering it up - open the piCorePlayer web interface (I look for it's address using the connected devices list on my router's admin page) - it's worth looking through this before going further, particularly noting the four different views accessed by tabs at the bottom of the screen: Basic, Normal, Advanced, Beta You do most of the rest of the tweaking via the web interface - by clicking buttons on the web interface - expand the filesystem - install additional filesystems - install LMS - mount your NAS's music folder (this bit can be the most confusing - I can send you the settings I use for my QNAP) - configure LMS through its LMS web interface My Pi3 takes about 6 minutes to scan through a bit over 27,000 tracks There is some help available at http://picoreplayer.sourceforge.net/main_howto.shtml plus the extensive piCorePlayer threads in the Linux/Unix forum here. It doesn't choose which interface to listen on unless you deliberately lock it down to do so with a firewall rule. 99.9% of programs will just open a listener socket without specifying. If you do that, you listen to all local interfaces. -Transcoded from Matt's brain by Tapatalk- -- Hardware: 3x Touch, 1x Radio, 2x Receivers, 1 HP Microserver NAS with Debian+LMS 7.9.0 Music: ~1300 CDs, as 450 GB of 16/44k FLACs.
