Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS linux certificates... ?

you need to add perls ssl support (IO::Socket::SSL) for your OS as well.

And update LMS to something recent.

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS 7.9.1 and Virtual Libraries, where can I read about them?

2017-12-20 Thread adhawkins

Hi,

Doesn't necessarily answer your question completely, but I knocked up a
plugin that allows you to relatively easily assign albums into library
views based on their location in the filesystem. You simply define the
views you want, then create an appropriately named file in the directory
for each album that should appear in that view.

The announcement thread is here:

http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?105593-ANNOUNCE-Simple-Library-Views-plugin

Hope that helps a little.

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS linux certificates... ?

2017-12-20 Thread te36

The idea of a container is obviously that you do not want to touch it
again. And getting into a built container and trying to update
components in it is difficult and unless you invest even more work, it
also increases the size significantly (at least with docker).

So the question was where those certs and trustpoints are stored and if
there isn't a simpler way having them automatically update, eg: through
an init script in the container, every time it is restarted.

The one point seems to be Perls SSL library. I guess i need to look that
up.

In any case it is quite annoying that it seems to be ridiculously
difficult to just get a piece of software that you don't need to update
regularily. Even if you try to freeze it in a container *sigh*.

This will only work if the outside world also freezes but https streams
were not in use with the version of LMS you froze so if you just play
files - you'll still be OK.

Ignoring security related updates, many stream are moving from normal
http/mp3 to chunked http such as HLS (m3u8) and DASH or some stream move
to a different stream aggregator- in which case a frozen version of LMS
will not be able to play these new streams.

In the webgui of you`re Qnap control panel there is a option to set
you`re country/region.

Otherwise check the Qnap form, as unicode is handle by the Qnap itself.
LogitechMediaServer uses the settings for this from the Qnap QTS

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] No playback of .wav-files (LMS 7.9.1 on QNAP TS-469L, QTS 4.3.3.0396)

2017-12-20 Thread digimaster

Tested it and same error on soc in the x86_64, it complains about the
missing libgomp.so.1.
Did a ldd x86_64 and got this.

ldd sox
linux-vdso.so.1 (0x7ffdee3b9000)
libgomp.so.1 => not found
libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0x7f93321cb000)
libpthread.so.0 => /lib/libpthread.so.0 (0x7f9331fae000)
libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x7f9331c0b000)
/lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 (0x7f93324d)

Found info that libgomp.so.1, is a libary which is part off ffmpeg.
Work around install Qffmpeg, and then logon the Qnap by ssh shell, ln -s
/share/*/.qpkg/Qffmpeg/lib64/libgomp.so.1 /lib/. ( where * is path of
you`re qnap )
Tested the work around, and then sox works.

I only supply a way that LMS is installed on Qnap, and don`t add any
other things then a Working Perl 5.24 ( 64bits ) and needed CPAN modules
for spotty and YouTube.

Made a issue on the git websire, as LMS should be a standalone music
servers.
I think that while compiling sox, there is something add which gives
this error.

I tried to keep the installation as simple as it can be, with out adding
many other things and only depends on programs/tool from QTS/Qnap, so it
will not stop working after upgrades from Qnap QTS.

Still no update if you restart LMS? Otherwise, stop LMS, rename

2017-12-20 Thread digimaster

Thanks to Spacehead, we found that the supplied sox in the lms
Bin/x86_64 is not working.
As it seems to mis libgomp.so.1 file, which is used by ffmpeg.
As it`s a file which comes with the LMS release, they should fix it. (
report a issue on the git website )

But due to this, some playback will not be done by LMS. (WAVfiles,
ogg/vorbis).

Found a workarond to make it work on Qnap.
As i`m not a big fan if fix`s, want to keep Qnap LogitechMediaServer
simple and clean.
Until this problem is solved, from the next release it will included a
fix, which will relay on Qffmeg to be install on the Qnap.
And hopefully the guys from LMS, will fix the x86_64 sox soon, so we
don`t need it anymore.

'Here you can find the treat regarding the issue Spacehead found'

Spacehead and all the other in the treat thanks for the input.;)

And please if there is something, please place it in this treated, as
i`m not always reading all other treats.
Beside Qnap_LogitechMediaServer and maintaining Optware-NG, work and

If you are on MacOS, you're supposed to have a button somewhere to erase
the cache, in MacOS settings or something like that:
http://support.logitech.com/en_us/article/8381

Only choose to erase cache, don't delete preferences.

Or maybe you can stop LMS, delete "plugin-data.yaml" from cache folder
and start LMS, but I'm not sure that it is enough.

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LogitechMediaServer for Qnap x86_64 with qts 4.2 or higher

2017-12-20 Thread digimaster

As SSOTS/SSODS can give conflits, it should be uninstalled.
Before doning this, you could backup the Cache and prefs directories
from the SlimServer/ directory.

Then after installating Qnap-LogitechMediaServer, you can copy them back
in the LogitechMediaServer/SlimServer directory.
Don`t forget to do chmod -R 0775 SlimServer/ from the
.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer directory.

LMS has no root/admin rights, it runs on squeezeboxserver:nogroup.

Also very important all the directory`s and file, you want to use in LMS
should have 0775, otherwise LMS can not see/read not use them.
LMS has limited right, and only can read directory and file with 0775.

I use an iPad with SqueezePad and iPeng. The portable hard drive server
doesn't require internet access as it sets up its own wifi network to
which the iPad can connect.

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Plugin Domoticz for Squeezebox / Logitech media server

2017-12-20 Thread Jackisidore

The option Idx to synchronise with On/Off has a small problem, It sends
(from server.log)

http://myip:8080/json.htm?type=command¶m=switchlight&idx=16&*On=*

Which results in

{
"status" : "ERR"
}

This url works for my switch

http://myip:8080/json.htm?type=command¶m=switchlight&idx=16&*switchcmd=On*
