Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] players lost connection
Those errors mean there's a networking issue. Your LMS can't reach mysb.com. If that's all the networking issue there is, then it's little trouble. But it could mean your LMS can't reach any network. start with --logging network.http (those --d_something parameters are mostly outdated) Michael http://www.herger.net/slim-plugins - Spotty, MusicArtistInfo mherger's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=50 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108938 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

I can reach other services on the server and on the network without issue. The players do see LMS very briefly but then seem to time out. And it works fine with 7.5. If I check the 'Task Manager', SqueezeSvr.exe appears to show some activity with 4-15% CPU and some variations in memory usage. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Playlist Artwork - where does LMS find it ?
I know the collection needs some work, but, to be clear -- if a playlist is created from files across different folders, all from the same genre, then the artwork should be whatever is associated with the individual file ? (i.e. there is no way to nec over-ride the default artwork ? ) .. If there's no artwork stored with the individual track, then the album's artwork is picked. And for the album LMS picks a random artwork from one of its tracks. Which means that if you have the "No Album" album with tracks from many different real albums, then you'd get some semi-random artwork. Garbage in, garbage out. Fix your tags. Make sure all tracks have correct album information. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Hello - Here is what I do (Duet controller) Clear current playlist My Music -> Genre -> Oldies press + Select Play It will show artwork from previous playlist (in this case, Renaissance music) The playlist is not a saved playlist ... when I save the playlist (I called it test) then I open it, it shows the same image from the renaissance) I guess the sw is getting the artwork from cache somewhere ? Clicking on "more" takes me to https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver/commits/public/7.9 But, once there, I cannot see what to do -- I have no idea what it is I am supposed to download, nor how do so. How did you install the system initially? The update procedure would be the same. Download the noCPAN tarball. I'm currently running Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.1 - 1522249619 on top of FreeNAS / SlimNAS. SlimNAS... it's been forever since I have touched it. But I think you'll then have to upload that tarball to SlimNAS' web UI.
