Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS on MacOS 10.15 "Catalina"?
My original setup was LMS on a Mac Mini running OSX High Sierra. The Music media is stored on a external drive. I was using iTunes for music management, playlists, etc. This has been working well for years, and has not changed until the issue with Catalina. Well... Catalina got rid of iTunes. And the new music app does not export the XML file LMS uses for the integration any more. Workarounds have been discussed here. Export playlists from where? I attempted to export the playlists manually as both M3U and XML files That's not the "where from", but the "where to". I guess you tried to export from iTunes/Music? What would a m3u look like? Where did you store them? Create a playlists folder somewhere where LMS can read it, put those files in there. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Remote streaming password security
-If the password securtiy for Logitech Media Server Software is enabled - Please use only your own Devices or delete the History. Otherwise your Account credentials become public. - Can anyone clarify what this means ? Does it mean if you log in to your server from someone else's device, username and password will stay there on that device ? Many browsers do indeed store credentials, once that feature has been enabled. So yes, you risk that someone else's browser does store your credentials. In general I would not recommend relying on this feature to protect access from the outside, as LMS has not been designed to be exposed to a potentially hostile environment. Use a VPN or SSH tunnel or something instead. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

mherger wrote: > >>> You should probably start by telling us more about your setup. > Where's > your music stored? Your playlists? Did this work before? Thanks Michael - should have started with that. My original setup was LMS on a Mac Mini running OSX High Sierra. The Music media is stored on a external drive. I was using iTunes for music management, playlists, etc. This has been working well for years, and has not changed until the issue with Catalina. Even then, I have not completed any fresh installs, only updates. I have never had any issues at all until the OSX Update. I was able to use this forum to enable both Sh and Bash and my media library is now intact, except for playlists - which list the names, but do not have any tracks. One note of emphasis - which may be causing the issue. Because I have changed so many file paths for playlists in attempt to fix the issue, I do not have record of my original settings of where playlists should be located. mherger wrote: > >>> Export playlists from where? I attempted to export the playlists manually as both M3U and XML files directly from the iTunes menu and into a different folder. I then tried to direct LMS playlist setting to that folder. The names of the playlists appear in the menu -but no tracks listed crazybake's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7472 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111037 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Works fine on my Pi with Squeezelite. Very odd. The other thing I've noticed is My Squeezebox only shows the Pi under players, although Tidal worked on the Zen once I put my Tidal password into the website. So it's picking up the login even though it's not registered as a player. Any ideas??
