My mistake.
I was using Taptalk when replying that time - and it automatically
showed a picture under the thread link.
It shows what was the last picture in the thread ... which was this one

rather than the obvious receiver from the original post.

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS 8.0.0 Questions

2020-04-18 Thread badboygolf16v

Firstly, thank you Michael for the Online Library Integration. It's a
really great addition to LMS.

I thought I would mention a quirk I noticed.

I had an album favourited in Qobuz and Spotify which was imported twice
successfully.

I then imported a FLAC copy of the album into my Local library using a
'Look for new...' scan. Still only the Qobuz and Spotify albums showed,
not the local copy.

I then did a 'Clear library...' scan and all three versions appear.

Are you using those with 'this style case that @chill flush mounted'
I'd love to see photos. I think I'm finally about to build a touchscreen
PcP and was planning on that case. My first thought for IR was to try to
3D print a piece to sit in the camera holder at the top, something with
a hole for the bubble lens one of those IR receivers. The IR receiver
would go on the back of the printed piece, and a second printed piece
would go behind the IR receiver, to hold it in place and cover the
electrical leads.

BTW, I think this project looks pretty good for making more room for DAC
HATs inside that case: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2268017

It's always been the case that Squeezebox players and Controllers will
be told by LMS if a firmware update is needed. In my experience LMS
7.9.x will tell Radio to use the 7.7.3 Squeezebox firmware (Touch and
Controller get 7.8.0 firmware). I don't think LMS will ever try to
convert an SB Radio to a UE Radio; certainly it's never happened with my
Radios.

No, the 7.9.* software does not contain the UE firmware. To convert a
Squeezebox Radio to UE, you need to physically do it using the Radio
buttons.

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] "New Music" is missing (some) new music

2020-04-18 Thread dolodobendan

I ripped four albums the day before yesterday and copied them in my LMS
library. Yesterday, I wiped the LMS cache and triggered a scan. After it
was finished, I noticed that only three out of the four albums were
listed in "New Music". The "missing" album can be found via search or in
"Compilations". It's a compilation, so that's where it should be. But
why isn't it in "New Music"? I had the vague feeling before that
sometimes not all new albums are listed there but never bothered to
check.

Hmm. it looks like I have not properly update the repo XML to allow
PowerCenter to install on LMS 8.0 -- could that be your problem? It
looks like version 2.2.1 will only be loaded by LMS versions 7.*.
