[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Podcast
I've submitted a few PR to LMS 8.0 for podcasts to improve the "last position" feature and to add a "recently played" item at the bottom of the podcasts list. They are now part of the 8.0 nightly. Funny enough, the capability to track podcast progress is a very complicated one. I've just realized that when you enable direct streaming (or don't use my "reliable" plugin which forces proxied streaming), then tracking does not work. I've been scratching my head a lot to find a solution to that silly problem, but can't find any. So be aware that tracking requires proxied streaming as of today. Not that changes have been made to software with revision number changes. There seem to be two different things affecting my ability to see/stream RNZ using the Radio plugin. If I uninstall the playHLS plugin then I lose RNZ. When I reinstall the playHLS plugin I get RNZ back. If I remove the Radio plugin then RNZ is gone. Reinstalling the Radio plugin does not bring back RNZ. But when I restored a week old backup everything was back! 1. I am currently using the latest nightly of LMS V8. Since I restored my backup copy there have been two updates that I installed without losing RNZ. 2. I am not sure what you are asking. To change settings, such as plugins, I use Web Control. 3. I am not sure what you are asking. When I use Web Control and set my menus I am currently just showing Radio since Tunein has not been able to show RNZ while Radio shows RNZ unless I remove/add the Radio plugin under the Plugins tab. Another interesting thing that I discovered just before sending this post is an Addition Options section just below this posting window. I lets me subscribe to this thread along with selecting (it is set to Instanly, using email) which is another problem that I am addressing in another Forum/thread. I am not receiving notifications of posts and I must continually log into the Slimdevices forums to check for updates. Set up one yesterday, and connection maintained on SB Radio via ethernet for over 12 hrs, so I'll call this a success. I'll get more VAP11G-300 for my other Radios, and hopefully there's not an issue with multiple VAP11G-300's (Wish I could get the SB Radio wireless working though) Things of note: Setup of VAP11G-300 is simple, but instructions could be better. No need for a 'hotspot', so disable on the VAP11G-300. Lights are BRIGHT. Can't just tape over, as it will block the vents, and anyway, the lights still bleed through the case Need to pop open the VAP11G-300 case (easy, it's just press fit), and place a small bit of electric tape over the LED's on the VAP11G-300 board.
