I don't want to play music from online sources, so I guess 7.9.2. is all that I need. I also tried to compile the CPAN modules and copy them to the /usr/share/squeezeboxserver/CPAN/arch/5.32/ directory but apparently that's not needed anymore according to David's message. Squeezelite really should work. What was the version number of the most recent that you tried? Could you try via Squeezelite-X (it is still Squeezelite underneath but is a modern one) - available from Windows Store. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Stream to Windows 10 renderer from LMS on Linux?
I'd like to render LMS mp3 streams to my Windows 10 desktop (from my Linux-based LMS server). I've tried Squeezelite but it prematurely skips to the next track all the time, and I gave up trying to fix it. I've just read that it is possible to stream from LMS to a web browser using a local URL - e.g. http://192.168.1.*1:9000/stream.mp3 I've just tried this and there seems to be a very long lag (maybe 1 minute?) between requesting playback on the LMS web GUI and playback on the browser. I also can't get skip/pause controls to work that way either. Can anyone recommend a good way of streaming to a Windows 10 renderer in a way which can be controlled fully from the LMS web GUI? itm's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17437 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113677 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

When checking the Nov/Dec fix, my tests were done with CUE files which had a file per track. Other tests were done with cue files which had one file and multiple tracks. vc01 cue file has two files and multiple tracks. I don't know if this format variation was considered or tested. How are these cue files generated so test files can be created ? The "cur" filetype was a symptom of the Nov/Dec problem - badly processed track had a the "cur" filetype which I think is "internal" to LMS. My understanding, when parsing an non cue playlist, LMS create a track entry database for each real file. IIRC when parsing a cue files, LMS creates a virtual track entry for each track - referencing the most recent flac/WAv source files with the offset & duration of the track. Since 7 tracks are created, it looks like LMS manages the first "FILE" correctly and may have assumed it is a "single " source CUE files and so processing of remaining tracks breaks down.
