Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Running LMS on Ubuntu / WSL2
Has anyone tried to run LMS on Debian or Ubuntu running on WSL? I haven't, but I'm very interested in your findings. Please share your experience! The reason why I'm interested in this is that we're kind of stuck with the Windows builds: the tool we're using to bundle LMS for Windows does no longer exist - its vendor recommends to use Docker to run Perl applications on Windows instead... We therefore can't update to a more recent Perl etc. ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS into DLNA/UPNP end point: Real world experiences
I use the uPNP/DLNA bridge with a couple of different endpoints. It works pretty well (including artwork display, native player controls and LMS controls), but it is perhaps slightly flakier than using a native player. There are a lot of settings to play with which might improve matters, but any issues are still rare enough that I haven't bothered. ReplayGain doesn't work though, if that's important to you. tw99's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=51684 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115607 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS into DLNA/UPNP end point: Real world experiences
I use the bridge to connect to a pairof Kef LSX wireless speakers. Initially I had occasional problems with the speakers failing to move on to the next track, but since ticking the "Flow" option in the UPNPBridge settings that no longer happens - the plugin and speakers are used for hours each day without any problems. Mostly I'm playing from Qobuz, also from BBC. According to the documentation, selecting "Flow" causes LMS to send the data as a continuous stream rather than track-by-track and this seems to suit the speakers very well, but it means no track metadata is sent. Since the speakers have no display, this doesn't matter. On the plus side I can control the speaker volume from LMS with this arrangement, and the speakers switch themselves on when a stream is started. It works very well indeed for me, and is more convenient that my previous arrangement which was Toslink. stevebaggs's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62476 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115607 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS into DLNA/UPNP end point: Real world experiences
I simply installed PhillipeÂs DLNA UPNP Bridge on LMS and my Naim Uniti Atom just showed up as a player in LMS. Not only did playing a song work great, but the album art and title showed perfectly on the Uniti display, and the metadata that the Naim App looks at to construct a cool booklet just worked as well (this is a little inconsistent, but that seems to be a bug in the Naim app) So far, the only negative IÂve found with the DLNA plugin is the lack of a donate button to show my appreciation to Phillipe for creating such a great plugin. I canÂt vouch for other players, but my case worked effortlessly mps's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36351 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115607 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Play WMA in TuneIn - how?
System details: Version of LMS, what type of player ? Some SB player such as SB2,SB3, Boom and some builds of squeezelite can play WMA natively. Any message in LMS log file ? What URLs are you trying to play ? # Are these new URLs or one that used to play and stopped ? Having the URLs will help check put if they are playable and/or if they are "unusual". Most URLs require up to date https support IIRC QMS was old and probably does not support adequately https What version of IO::Sockets::SSL is shown in webGUI Settings/Information ? What version of ffmpeg did you install for PlayWMA and PlayHLS V1. PlayHLSv2 does not require ffmpeg but can only play the popular variants of HLS. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115627 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
