Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] cannot access LMS after upgrade to Bullseye
I restored from a backup to the 32 gb/sd and due to home/music it had an out of space error. I though nothing much about it. Not sure where I could find the verbatim error? Well, if you run out of space, then you're to expect all kinds of errors. You should sort that out first. ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

In the existing OS LMS had a Spotty plugin. When I did updates it gave me an error that Spotify hasn't got a arm version. Do you know anything about that? Verbatim error message would be helpful. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] cannot access LMS after upgrade to Bullseye
With Raspberry Pi OS Bullseye Desktop 'I use the raspberry pi imager to load the OS' (https://www.raspberrypi.com/software/) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntaXWS8Lk34 I do the update and full upgrade SSH in and install LMS eg: Code: wget https://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/8.2/lms/050fd23add1e4b6f5550cba00e1678af316c2f6c/logitechmediaserver_8.2.1~1641537226_arm.deb then Code: sudo apt install ./logitechmediaserve... This pulls in all the binaries I add Code: sudo apt install lame when all is complete sudo reboot and off you go ronnie Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115817 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

As it wasn't working I thought to try at starting and stopping the server through terminal on the RBPI to see what error might come up. No error. At the same time I could not connect over a link I have in the RBPI browser nor from the Squeezebox. Unless some magical solution is coming I will do a fresh install. Just forgot how I started up last time after loading the OS on the SD.(thats what grey hair does) notechyet's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22148 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115817 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

I've decided to uninstall Tailscale for the time being, but to answer the above, I was running Tailscale in a docker container (https://github.com/ido1990/tailscale-relay) on an Ubuntu server. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] cannot access LMS after upgrade to Bullseye
I have upgraded Buster to Bullseye a couple of days ago. It is an OS upgrade not new install. After the upgrade all was working great and only now I do not seem to be able to access via 192.168.x.x:9000/settings. Also my squeezebox player is not able to connect. "all was working great and only now": are you saying LMS did work as expected for a while after the upgrade? As always: what does server.log say? ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Restarting I would get a spare sd card and make a fresh install of the Bullseye OS, I'm presuming the Desktop. Update everything and then do the samba install If that that works, then add LMS and fill in your bits and pieces, you should be able to mount your old sd card and transferr any files you need to. Remember the there is no guarantee that the OS upgrade path will be a 100% successful :) atb ronnie Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115817 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] cannot access LMS after upgrade to Bullseye
Try starting it interactively to see if there is a better error message. If you move to the directory where slimserver.pl is located you could try perl slimserver.pl The startup script will do more than that but it might give a clue. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] DietPi: Logitech Media Server(squeezeboxserver) hangs unexpectedly from time to time
I may add, that these kind of problems maybe were overlapped by my former problems with hanging squeezeboxes classic from Logitech. These have now been retired. My setup: - DietPi (8.0.x.x)/Squeezeboxserver on a Raspberry Pi 4b 2GB RAM with 32 GB SD card and 4TB external card via USB3.0 - PicorePlayer with Jivelite on a Pi 4b with 8GB RAM and in the bathroom - PicorePlayer with Jivelite on a Pi 3b+ with 1GB RAM and 64 GB sd card in the kitchen - Logitech Squeezebox Classic in the living room (normally and mostly every time off) So since now I have a "clear" setup with a much reduced risk of having a hardware havoc here (Logitechs and their problem of the electrolyte capacitor problem), now I see that I might have a problem of a sometimes randomly hanging squeezebox server peddanet's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70331 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115812 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

It is not easy to test, because the phenomenon is happening rarely. It is not clear not me, how the client could force the server to hang up. When the phenomenon occurs again, I can try out, if not already tried out. The process on the server seems not respondng. How could I excamine responsiveness of the server in case it happens again. Is there a to me hidden test app? BTW where are the logs. How could I save the process without killing/restarting it?
