By the way, if you've not done it already, you might want to enable the exit node on your home server and use it when in the cafe to encrypt your connection there. I'd wanted to setup a VPN for myself for quite some time now, but always got annoyed trying to configure one - - I'm a software engineer by training and profession, and I still found it to be perplexing. Well, Tailscale changed all of that and I had it working within minutes. No port forwarding, no having to mess with the router configuration, which I couldn't have anyway since I don't have the administrator password. I probably didn't even need to setup that firewall rule I wrote about in the OP, but I did it anyway just to be sure. I've informed all of my non-technical associates about Tailscale as well since it's user friendly enough for just about anyone to use. All the best... 😎 Some friends, associates and I run a Facebook group dedicated to music streaming technologies and you're all welcome to join us: https://facebook.com/groups/hifiaudiostreaming/ artatgray's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=73037 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=117227 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

No matter. that's sorted it now. Its not the router that is doing that its your browser. Been like that for quite a while now but if you had bookmarked an http address then you wouldnt notice. Many thanks. If I enter http:\\192.168.1.10:9000 rather than just the address it all works fine. Something in the router setup that defaults everything to https? Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS : This site can't provide a secure connection
It is correct - LMS runs over HTTP not HTTPS ... It looks like you have something that is trying to force the use of HTTPS even though you ask for HTTP. Something has changed in your environment - networking or browser (and it is not LMS that has changed). Paul Webster author of \"now playing\" plugins covering radio france (fip etc), planetradio (bauer - kiss, absolute, scala, jazzfm etc), kcrw, abc australia and cbc/radio-canada and, via the extra \"radio now playing\" plugin lots more - see https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?115201-announce-radio-now-playing-plugin Paul Webster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=105 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=117243 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS : This site can't provide a secure connection
I had to change my LAN & wifi router. Everything seems to be ok and all my Squeezebox players including Squeezelite on the PC work correctly. When I try and browse my LMS I get this error on all devices (Windows 10 and 11 and Android tablet and phone): This site cant provide a secure connection 192.168.1.10 sent an invalid response. Try running Windows Network Diagnostics. ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR Windows Network Diagnostics can find no problem. I can't see anything in the router setup that would affect the PCs but allow the Squeezeboxes to function correctly. I did not change LMS in any way. Help please! Thanks. rabbit's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13742 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=117243 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS remote access: safe, secure and free with Tailscale (mesh VPN)
This is great. Took me a few minutes to figure out. Beyond LMS it's really useful too. I'm sat in a caff with my laptop and phone on the same network as my home pc. Accessing work files, dropping new flacs into the lms server, and listening to music.
