Hi d6jg. Thanks, and I get that. When I browse to the sight, I am able to sign in normally. And those credentials are the same as I entered into the LMS Account tab. I may be thinking of this too simplistically. Do you have any thoughts here of what I might be not doing. Thanks again. Hi all. I replied to this earlier but don't see it as a part of the thread so I'll recreate it. My situation where I was not able to connect to my Squeezebox classic is now mostly resolved. What I ultimately did was to reimage (Clean reimage) the machine. I was able to connect successfully to the squeezebox afterwards, albeit I am not able to sync with mysqueezebox.com, and so I don't have access to the apps that I manage there. But I am able to play music managed on my desktop, and other radio stations. As info, before the reimage I found that not only was I unable to connect to the squeezebox but I was unsuccessful in pinging the AT&T router that I rent. I got a general failure message. After the re-image I pinged the router successfully. And, after each program was run I did the same - until I loaded the last one, the VPN I use (NordVPN) which broke the setup. I unistalled it and brought it back to a working condition again. NordVPN, I subsequently determined doesn't support certain routers, and my router - the Pace 5268AC must have finally been added to the list. So, my question now is whether anyone has experience a failure to sync with mysqueezebox.com? BTW, I control the squeezebox via an iOS V13 app called iPeng V9.7.2. The Logitech app quit working a number of iOS OS updates ago. Thanks in advance. I use BullGuard. I did contact their support and shut it down a step at a time - BullGuard wasn't the issue, nor apparently was the related Windows firewall rules - I download an app called TCPView which enabled me to check for port contention and found no other application requires the Squeezebox apps. So, I reimaged my computer and right away Squeezebox was working like a charm - until I loaded a tax management application (it's tax time here in the US) and blammo, I have the same issue, albeit the indication that the tax application doesn't rely on the ports either. I unistalled the 7.7.6 version of the LMS and installed a 7.9.3 version and this hasn't helped - the alert shown on the diagnostic page is "Logitech Media Server is running but can't be contacted on port 9000". My plan now is to finish the taxes and send them off, uninstall the tax program and see if that cures the issue - if not, I'll reimage again. That said, I'm open to any advice. Cheers. I generally shut my PC down nightly and the server boots again the next morning. So, it's booted regularly. In addition I've tried shutting the Squeezebox down and restarting - resetting factory defaults and resetting - nothing is working. I've also contacted my primary virus protection company and it doesn't seem to be an issue there - and I can't find anything in the Window's firewall rules which is impacting those ports. Thanks Michael. I took a look at the Event Viewer - and got lost pretty quickly - I couldn't find any specific event relating to the squeezebox of LMS - and least noted as such. That may be too specific for Windows or Windows may id an event another way. In your experience is there an area of the Event Viewer I should look for, and once I'm there is there an event I should look to find. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS V7.7.6 issue
Hi all. I am suddenly having a problem communicating to my Squeezebox Classic via Port 9000. My Squeezebox states this on the screen "Connecting to Server" but the status never goes to the Now Playing status. This is a recent problem. I've used this Squeezebox for a number of years. I am running Windows 10 OS Version 1909. I recently added several software programs relating to music (EAC, a CD ripping program and Foobar2000, a iTunes like package). That was when my problem began. Those programs have been uninstalled and there is no evidence that there are bits remaining after the uninstall. My diagnostics page on the Logitech Media Server app indicates these issues: Port 3483 (slimproto): Failed Port 9000 (HTTP): Failed Port 9090 (CLI): Failed I ran a CMD command (netstat -ab) to check what's application is using these ports, to confirm where there might be a conflict and the Squeezebox appears to be the only device using. It could just be that the hardware has finally failed. I am writing hoping that someone out there has some experience with this and can give me some advice for how to solve, or realize that I need to find another Squeezebox or alternative solution.
