Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Gapless / Not Gapless
Thanks for the suggestions. I have now found the solution. The external drive I use with my Macbook is formatted as APFS. I came across an article that said that APFS is designed for SSD drives. Mac OS Extended is faster for regular drives. I bought a new external drive, formatted it in Mac OS Extended and problem solved. (An annoying side effect is that searching or tagging on this drive no longer works.) Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Gapless / Not Gapless
Thank you for your posts. I have been using LMS for many years and problems usually occur when upgrading my MacBook. For example: LMS 7 stopped working in Big Sur, but luckily LMS 8 appeared. The described problem appeared when I bought a new Mac (Air, M1 processor, Big Sur). Nothing else changed in my setup. Sometimes, not always, the Mac responds too slowly to commands from LMS. So my question is whether there is a setting in LMS or in Mac that can fix this. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Gapless / Not Gapless
I have been using Logitech Media Server and Squeezebox touch for over ten years. Recently a new problem appeared. Some albums no longer play gapless. Sometimes it takes a few seconds before the next track is played. I use the latest LMS version (8.2.1) and use a MacBook Air with an M1 processor. It occurs on all types of files (Alac, Flac, MP3) Does anyone have a solution? Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Stubborn Big. Sur: LMS won't scan after a day
Cheered too soon. Not solved. LMS refuses to scan the external hard drive again. Nothing has changed in the settings of LMS or of the MacBook, but after two days LMS refuses service. - Whether access to the hard disk has been canceled - Or LMS is not working properly. I think the latter because reinstalling fixes the problem temporarily. Who has the same problem and has a solution? Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Stubborn Big. Sur: LMS won't scan after a day
Thanks, I've been on it for a few days and LMS works perfectly fine so far. Apparently Perl 5.18 is also needed. In summary: Go to finder and enter the path / usr / bin Add perl & perl 8.15 to Security & Privacy's Full Disc access area Do likewise for / bin and select bash. Thanks Ronnie. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Stubborn Big. Sur: LMS won't scan after a day
I had a Macbook with Big Sur and LMS ran perfectly. Now with a new MacBook with Big Sur I run into the same problem I had initially. LMS cannot scan. I forgot how I solved it last time Initially LMS works perfectly. After a day, LMS refuses to scan. (Perl and Bash are checked in the Permission Pane). Reinstalling LMS 8.1.2 helps, but not permanently. How can I solve this problem? Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS on MacOS 10.15 "Catalina"?
Since a few days I use mac OS Catalina. LMS works, but not for long. The library loads, but is no longer accessible after a few hours. And after that, LMS doesn't scan anymore. When I re-install LMS 7.9.2 everything works just fine for a few hours. I have read the thread and given full disk access perl. What more can I do? Hi Michael, Thanks for your suggestion. It has done the job and again I'm a happy LMS user. Hope other people with the same problem find this post. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server doesn't start up wit macOS Sierra
Since I installed macOS Sierra (10.12) logitech media server won't start up. A serieus problem indeed! I've deleted LMS and did a clean install, but that didn't solve the problem. On El Capitan LMS 7.9 worked without any problem. I use an 4 GB MacBook Air (2013) Has anyone a solution? .
