[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Music artwork
Everything working very smoothly so far. Its no biggie, but when I add music and refresh to look for new files I lose some of my existing artwork, but if I clear and rescan everything, all my artwork appears again. What is going on behind the scenes here and why the odd behaviour. Im sure its to do with how the files are set up - its using my music app (macOS) media library. I can convert the M3u file to rich text. Then force the extension back to M3u in finder rather than the new rich text designation. That then imports almost all the playlist. There is the odd one missing but Im assuming this is to do with the odd characters in the odd file I assume? Thanks everybody - this must be a MacOS incompatibility Mattyrow's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=72354 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115649 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Exporting playlists from MacOS music app
Hi Im having some problems getting LMS to recognise any form of M3u export of my playlists. The great people on this forum have helped my through some things, but in the end Im no better off in getting all my playlists into LMS. Does anybody have any direct experience with MacOS and exporting them successfully into LMS. Im hoping somebody on here can help Thanks Mattyrow's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=72354 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115656 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Resave it and it works. Problem is I cant duplicate that for my large playlist, but for one song I can. I can replicate this issue with the LMS server on my Mac. So its not a picoreplayer issue. Its something to do with the output from music on Mac I guess. All my music is red book quality (ALAC) and trying to achieve the best audio I can within my system. Currently using LMS to airplay my music to an old Airport express with optical out to my digital amp. Do you think a dedicated LMS endpoint (also with a digital out) will make any difference? [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] MacBook as airplay device
I typically stream via airplay currently using LMS to my airport express. Works fine. MacOS Monterey introduced the MacBook to be an airstream receiver. The same MacBook is my LMS. Using the iPad to use the web player it sees the MacBook as the receiver but the song doesnt start to play and nothing heard. Appreciate this is a new thing for MAcOS but wondered if there is anything preventing it working? Is it because LMS is the server on the same Mac? Its not a situation I use that often so Im not too fussed, but wondered if people experience the same. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Additional SSD to add to LMS
Hi New user of LMS. Setup on MacBook with MacOS 12. Everything works as expected all on local drive. I have a separate SSD with more music on that Id like to add. It recognised the drive but I can not select the right folder. It doesnt see it and the rescan is unsuccessful. The drive is formatted to APFS. I had a spare usb drive that was formatted to exFAT and the same issue occurred. Is there another format the drive must be or is it a permission thing that I have been reading about? Im not particularly tech savvy so go easy on me. Thanks for your help in advance.
