Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server 8.1.1 released!

2021-02-22 Thread SteveShort

Thank you mherger for all the hard work!

One small problem that I've noticed but may have also been in earlier
releases is that the option to "Automatically start server when system
boots" in the Preference Pane on MacOS doesn't work for me. When my
MacMini reboots the server never starts automatically.

I thought this might be a problem with a launch agent or daemon job but
I can't find one for LMS in /System/Library/LaunchDaemons or
/System/Library/LaunchAgents. Any ideas on what the problem might be?

Best regards,
Steve Short

That's what I'm trying to avoid as everything except the preference pane
is working. As you say the PrefPane should be 64-bit compatible so I
don't understand why it fails.

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS on MacOS 10.15 "Catalina"?

2020-09-01 Thread SteveShort

I've been running LMS 7.7.5 on a MacMini for over three years and have
just upgraded to MacOS Catalina.

After granting Full Disk Access to Perl everything seems to be running
OK with the exception of the preferences pane.

When I click on 'Logitech Media Server' in Settings I get the message:
"Preferences Error: Could not load Logitech Media Server preference
pane.".

If I use the "About this Mac" System Report then the preferences pane
shows up as a 32/64 bit executable so presumably it's not the withdrawn
32 bit support that's the problem.

(I've also granted Full Disk Access to /usr/bin/bashbug.)

Any ideas ?
