Since the Win 10 update yesterday the left pane of my LMS gui will not
display in Edge. It displays fine in Chrome, Firefox, and Opera. No
other issues noted.

Thanks for the tip. I'll probably give that a try. I have been using
Edge for LMS as I use it for little else and just leave it open.

Yes.

Sorry for not looking far enough back for report of the issue. And, as
discussed, there are plenty of workarounds. Just came as a bit of a
surprise to me.

Same here--as Michael also apparently already confirmed.

And as DJanGo posted, this Win10 release has been withdrawn, so I
wouldn't worry about it for a while.

I think Edge is broken again (as far as LMS goes). A few days ago LMS
suddenly would not display at all via Edge for me. I finally relented
and now use LMS on another browser--should have done that several months
ago when a Windows 10 update presented issues with Edge & LMS. Michael
fiddled around with LMS then to make it work; I doubt it is worth his
expenditure of time at this point.

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Disappearing/Re-appearing LMS

Yesterday I began having issues with my LMS that has been stable for
years. I think it is probably more of a network/computer problem than a
LMS issue, but I have no idea where to resume trouble-shooting so I am
asking for suggestions. LMS is installed on a Windows 10 PC. All
connections except my Boom are ethernet. PC has been re-booted
repeatedly; Asus router rebooted a couple of times; cable modem rebooted
once. Current nightly LMS was uninstalled/re-installed. 

First sign of trouble: yesterday WebUI (Opera browser) became
unresponsive. Eventually reloaded a garbled page of text with hyperlinks
to some SB commands. Chrome & Firefox yielded the same. Edge, of all
things, rendered a usable WebGUI. Shortly afterwards, the player quit
playing and all browsers refused to load the GUI.

This morning I fired up players using OrangeSqueeze on my android phone.
All browsers, except Edge, on my GUI yielded the text with hyperlinks.
Edge was usable. The Boom and my piCorePlayer each played ok for a
while, then had periodic cutouts where they stopped and re-started
playing. I installed Squeezelite-X on my PC and was able to use it
rather than a browser. Eventually the music stopped and the browsers and
Squeezelite-X either could not connect to LMS or could not locate any
players (of my five). Then without warning SL-X and Edge worked again
and the music resumed. Rinse and repeat since then.

I did have a BSOD on my PC a couple of weeks ago. OS & LMS are on a SSD.
Windows diagnostics indicates no issues with the drive, so I have been
holding off on a recovery option. I am afraid this where my issue may
lie though. No other issues on the PC or the network that I am aware
of.

I am a bit of a novice with logs, but I have not seen too much in what I
have looked at for the times that the problems occurred. The entries
below near the time of my most recent outage/re-start do look out of
place to me. Do they point me in any particular direction? If I can
provide any further info, please let me know (along with a hint as to
the best way to post it).

My issues continue, but I finally began getting the error messages below
in the LMS log. Seems like the issue may be with Spotty or Spotify. I
have broken my playlists down to < 200 tracks in each, but I do append
several together. This has not been a problem until recently. Other than
changing the playlist limitation in the Advanced --> Performance in LMS
settings, which I have done several times, is there an easy workaround
to this? Perhaps increase the buffer space somehow? 

Or am I going to have to limit the number of tracks that I have queued
up?

After my final post in that thread LMS vanished again so I reinstalled
Windows 10 and set everything up again. LMS runs fine on my Windows 10
PC with Material Skin but crashes soon after I add the Music and Artist
Information plugin. I may have an issue in how my system is configured,
but if you are running the M&AI plugin, I would take a look at that.

I just wanted to bump this thread to thank OP, Micheal, and
slartibartfast for the OP and responses. I have some Spotify playlists
that were > 200 tracks, but I was too intimidated to take the necessary
steps. After reading this thread, I took the plunge and am currently

Edge is my daily browser for LMS and one other program so I can leave it
open (and usually minimized) all day and not have to use Edge for
anything else. LMS works fine on Edge for me.

Same happened to me today. Error message said to "Run as Administrator"
but that didn't help. I turned off Windows Defender. Still no joy. I had
to uninstall LMS and re-install it to get it to go. 

All is well now, but those glitches always give me a bit of anxiety
about the possibility of losing LMS :(
