Hi, sorry for not following this up, other stuff intervened
I am really confused as the LMS used to see the NAS drives ok, I have
changed nothing in the settings - this only came about due to a
scheduled rescan  for updates. Windows sees the NAS drives and their
contents ok, so does everything else on the network (TV etc). 
Is there a different way of installing the NAS drives so that the LMS
can recognize them? They currently look like \\diskstation\Music2\Albums
for example as a network drive. If I enetr that manually in the LMS as a
media folder it won't recognize it
