33024 ...doesn't show the problem anymore. Hi Michael, Yes, I have been and I am still using Deezer once in while. I remember having browsed through the plugins after the update and, noticing some new ones, activated a few. It could very well be that I have enabled the 'Online Music Library Integration' one (because I thought that maybe I could connect to my Nextcloud storage in a convenient way...not knowing the functionality). However, I doubt that I had configured the plugin for Deezer and Tidal to 'Integrate online library and _automatically_check_for_changes_' - but that's how I found them before disabling the plugin. Again, I am not 100% sure and sorry for being so vague - I was down with a fever when I did this. The one thing I can tell you for sure though is that the problem with re-scanning is gone - music played all day long today on different clients and not a single re-scan or hick-up. Hi, I have updated recently from 7.9.1 (1518987734) to 8.1.1 (1609569900). I think since then the LMS is re-scanning my library every hour, e.g.: -Album cover lookup (3 of 3) Complete 00:00:01 Artist picture lookup (1 of 1) Complete 00:00:00 Building full text index (7 of 7) Complete 00:00:21 Database Optimize (2 of 2) Complete 00:02:06 The server has finished scanning your media library. Total Time: 00:02:28 (Monday, January 18, 2021 / 5:18 PM)- The re-scan itself is not a problem but the 'Database Optimize' takes two minutes and my old, soon-to-be-replaced system becomes unresponsive which is a bit of a pain. I have automatic re-scan disabled (Advanced - Rescan Music Library and Performance - Trigger scan on Preference Changes - 'Prompt to scan but don't trigger).
