Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS linux certificates... ?
The idea of a container is obviously that you do not want to touch it again. And getting into a built container and trying to update components in it is difficult and unless you invest even more work, it also increases the size significantly (at least with docker). So the question was where those certs and trustpoints are stored and if there isn't a simpler way having them automatically update, eg: through an init script in the container, every time it is restarted. The one point seems to be Perls SSL library. I guess i need to look that up. In any case it is quite annoying that it seems to be ridiculously difficult to just get a piece of software that you don't need to update regularily. Even if you try to freeze it in a container *sigh*. ---- te36's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=32586 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108423 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS linux certificates... ?
Running LMS on linux, installed about two years ago into docker container. Today, i start getting resets trying to play radio stations where the m3u point to https:// URLs. Of course, these URLs work fine from other players. So i suspect there is some expiry of certificates happening. Where would i find the certs used by LMS, trustpool for the remote sites as well as the local signed certificate used to connect ? Any recipes for how to most easily update them. Ideally some script to do this ongoingly... ? Wouldn't want to reinstall the whole bloody docker container. The whole point of creating a container was to get rid of ongoing reinstall trouble.
